Rhett Harvey

PRINCETON – Rhett Forrest Harvey, 18, of Princeton, died suddenly Thursday, November 17, 2011 as a result of an automobile accident. Born June 22, 1993 in Princeton, he was the son of the late George Michael Harvey and Sheila Masters Harvey. Rhett was a student at the Mercer County Alternative School in Bluefield. He loved electronics, was an avid Xbox player and enjoyed playing the guitar. He was a computer whiz. He was a very caring, loving and selfless person, especially to his girlfriend, Ashley. He loved his two dogs Tank and Saint. He was a valve tech at Southeast Valve in Charlotte, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, George Harvey. Survivors include his maternal grandparents, Phyllis Martin of Princeton and Charles Masters of Camp Creek; paternal grandmothers, Barbara Crigger of Princeton and Brenda Fine of Lashmeet; great grandmothers, Della Farmer of Rock and Frances Masters of Kegley; three brothers, Dallas Ryan Harvey of the home, Brandon Charles Harmon and his wife Erica of Princeton and William Dowell Harmon, II and Heather of Kegley; two sisters, Brianna Fine of Lashmeet and Kaitlyn Fine of Princeton; one niece, Alexis Harmon; two nephews, Elijah Harmon and Jordan Hazelwood; aunt and uncle, Laura and Timmy Delp and their family, Erica, Brianna and Alyssa of Princeton, with whom he made his home; uncle and aunt, Tonya and David Delp of Princeton; uncle, Anthony Masters of Peterstown; uncle, Chad Harvey of Princeton; and aunt, Michelle Burks of Princeton. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Larry Dyer officiating. Interment will follow at the Farmer Family Cemetery at Black Oak. Pallbearers will be Corey Somoskey, Marcus Jolly, Richie Smith, Derrick Sawyers, Chris Bailey and his brother, Dallas Harvey.
