Alma Faye Elliott

LASHMEET – Alma Faye Elliott, 79, of Lashmeet, died Thursday, May 30, 2019. Born October 2, 1939 in Rock, she was the daughter of the late Tharwell Mills and Clelia Ross Mills. Mrs. Elliott was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church where she served as a certified lay speaker, worked with child protect, was a children’s ministry leader and Sunday School teacher. She was a former Brownie Scout Leader and enjoyed writing poetry, reading, canning and baking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Elliott in 1992; brothers, Burnel, Drexel, Alva, Oakley, Clinton and Bobby Mills; and sisters, infant Zama Mills, Ima Jo Williams, Anna Farley and Rena Roberts. Survivors include son, Brad Elliott and wife Lois of Lashmeet; daughter, Wendi Posey of Matoaka; brother, Mason Mills of Matoaka; sister, Jackie Harvey and husband Herbert of Lashmeet; grandchildren, Maria Day of Princeton, Danny Posey II and wife Amanda of Green Valley and Bradley Elliott and fiancée Chloe Abigail Lovell of Lashmeet, Lakie Wyatt and husband Shannon of Lake Bottom, Ashlie Posey and Lennetta Posey both of Matoaka; great grandchildren, Drake, Zoe and Ellie Mae Wyatt, John Posey, Madilynn Elliott, Tatum Elliott and Josh Day; and sister-in-law, Geneva Mills of Williamsburg, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2019 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Bill Crawford, officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends attending the service as asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 263, Lashmeet, WV 24733. The family will receive friends Monday, June 3, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
