PRINCETON – Shelby Jean Dishner, of Princeton, died Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Born in Piedmont, she was the daughter of the late Charles Robert Jefferson Dishner and Gladys Havannah Davis Dishner. Shelby was a graduate of Matoaka High School, WV Business College and Bluefield State College. She taught for 28 years at Lashmeet Elementary School and was a member of CEOS Club through West Virginia University in Princeton. She worked for Roller Floral in Princeton for 14 years. She attended Lashmeet Community Freewill Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, and later attended Rogers Street Community Church in Princeton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Dishner; and four brothers, Jack Dishner, Randolph Dishner, Bob Dishner and David Dishner. Survivors include two sisters, Phyllis Thomason of Glenwood and Deborah Thorn and husband Steve of Princeton; and one brother, Lynn Dishner and wife Loma of Princeton. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Justin White and Pastor Steve Pendleton officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
