Ronald Raynel Otey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

PRINCETON - Ronald Raynel Otey, 66, of Princeton, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 16, 2021. He was born on August 28, 1954 to the late Alvin and Alice Otey. As a loving and devoted husband of 30 years, to his true soul mate Carolyn Barnett Otey, a caring father, doting Paw Paw, kind hearted brother, and generous friend; he lived a Christian life filled with compassion and concern for others. Ronald was a dedicated employee of Flowers Bakery where he retired after 25 years. While Ronald was an avid outdoorsman, that loved fishing of all kinds, the sounds and views of nature, riding his motorcycle, working on a vehicle, tinkering, and travel; his greatest accomplishment was his love for Christ and his family. He lived each day with great purpose, always eager to serve and help others. Ronald was a disciplined man in his faith and constant hard work. Every day he would strive to be better than the day before. He will be longed remembered for the love and admiration he showed to his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Darrell Otey; and nephew, Tanner Otey. Surviving are his wife Carolyn Barnett Otey; daughters, Melissa Otey Krueger of Lakeland, FL and Chanay Reed of Lexington, NC; son Josh Otey and wife Wendy of Hope Mills, NC; his loving grandchildren, Darcy Krueger, Ezekiel Krueger, Ezrianne Krueger, and Landon Brooke Otey; brothers, Gerald Otey and wife Sheila and Terry Otey and wife Tina all of Princeton and Scott Otey and wife Cheri of Draper, VA; and wonderful nieces and nephews. An intimate Memorial Service will be held at a future date to celebrate Ronald’s eternal life.
