Rena Hamm

November 15, 1930 - December 11, 2021

PRINCETON - Rena Mae Ragan Hamm, 91, of Princeton, formerly of Weyanoke, went to be with her savior on Saturday, December 11, 2021. Born November 15, 1930 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late John Ragan and Maggie Jenkins Ragan Fink. Rena was a devout Christian and was retired from the Maidenform Company. She was a very kind and caring person who will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hamm; son, Mark Hamm; and brothers, Baxter, Henry and Eugene. Survivors include children, Mike, Darrell, Gary, Greg and Tammy Sherman and her husband Tom; grandchildren, Kevin, Destiny, Brittany, Cody, Alyssa and Dulcie; and several great grandchildren; sisters, Maretta Thompson, Nancy Controne and Juanita Thompson; and daughter-in-law, Kimberly Hamm. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021 with Rev. Tom Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Rena was a breast cancer survivor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
