Ralph Lusk

December 12, 1945 - January 27, 2021

PRINCETON – Ralph E. Lusk, 75, of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in a one car accident. Born December 12, 1945 at Horse Creek, he was the son of the late Robert (Bob) Lusk and Mary Belle Mullens Lusk. Mr. Lusk was a veteran of the US Army having served in Vietnam. He was a retired coal miner with 40 years underground and was a member of UMWA Local 1503. He enjoyed playing guitar and “piddling.” In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Dianna Lynn Carpenter; brothers, Coy Lusk and Albert Lusk; and sisters, Arbutis Mullens, Gladys Morgan, Opal Warren and Pearl Steele. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Alice Crews Lusk; children, Sheila Lusk of Bramwell, Jeffrey Lusk (Sheila) of Princeton and Lori Constantino (Michael) of Bluefield; brothers, Boyd Lusk of Oceana, Robert Lusk, Jr. (Missy Hatfield) of Coal Mountain and Dale Lusk (Sandy) of Bolt and Anthony “Tony” Crews (Sandy) of Morganton, NC; sisters, Betty Smith (Jimmy) of Crab Orchard and Tida Crews Hyduke (Mark) of Bluefield; aunt, Betty Meadows of Dudley, NC; grandchildren, Ralph Harless (Nicole) of Bowling Green, VA, Kandi Vance of Bramwell, Jeffrey Lusk (Terence) of Wytheville, VA, Marcus Constantino (Lexi) of Charleston, Kristofer Constantino (Kendyl) of Huntington, Melody Johann of Richlands, VA, Gavin Lusk of Princeton; great granddaughters, Keireyana Harless, Kylena Harless and Katarina Harless all of Bowling Green, VA; and host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Lusk was an organ donor and chose to be cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2021 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Larry Dyer officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard. Arrangements by Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
