PRINCETON - Phyllis Ann "Tippy" Clisso, 79, of Princeton, died on Sunday, August 22, 2021. After a long battle with multiple health issues, she has transitioned to her eternal home. Born March 19, 1942 in Piedmont, Tippy was the youngest child of the late George W. Clark and Fulvia Payne Clark. Tippy was the owner of Fink’s Cafeteria where she served the community for many years with her home-cooked meals and famous chili. Tippy’s greatest joy was having her children and grandchildren surround her as often as possible. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Mary “Rena” Lee, Katherine Benfield, Ruth Pennington, Pauline Phillips, Nancy Belcher, Ervin E. Clark, Desmond Clark, Robert Clark, Clinton Clark, Hampton Clark and George B. Clark. Tippy is survived by her husband of 62 years, Steven Eugene (Gene) Clisso; children: Kenneth Clisso and wife Donna of Richmond, VA, Dianna Oni and husband Claudius of Monroe, NC, Mike Clisso and wife Glennette of Princeton and Brian Clisso of Como, MS; grandchildren, Melissa Shrewsbury, Kristy Jackson and husband Damien, Samantha Earp and husband Jon, Steven Clisso, Brian Clisso Jr. and wife Kendra, Shawn Clisso, Kayla Clisso, Monika Clisso, Sola Oni and Sayo Oni; great-grandchildren, Damien Jackson Jr., Caleb Lambert, Kaiyah Jackson, Reagan Walls, Rilyn Clisso, Kenleigh Clisso, Graham Lambert and Brody Clisso; and sisters, Mildred Eller, Lulabelle Repass, and Zetta Mae Wimmer. A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Pastor Roger Lusk officiating. Family will serve as pallbearers, along with Dakota Walls as honorary pallbearer. A private family visitation will be Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 10:30-11:30 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.bailey-kirk.com.
