PRINCETON - Mary Jane Groover, 55, of Black Oak, Princeton, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 in Princeton. Born October 18, 1966 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Virgil Dove and Anna Bea Cole. Mrs. Groover worked as a cook for Mercer County Schools for nine years. She enjoyed cooking, camping and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Junior, Robert and Carl; and one sister, Linda. Survivors include her loving husband of 34 years, Darrell Thompson; daughter, Brittany Thompson; son Johnathon Groover; one sister, Robin Bennett; and stepfather Bill Cole. Mary will be greatly missed. The memory of Mary will live on in the in the hearts and minds of her family and friends. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with David Webb officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, February 18, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
