Mark Moye Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

PRINCETON – Mark M. Moye, 59, of Princeton, died Thursday, November 29, 2018 at his home. Born September 24, 1959 in Beckley, he was the son of the late U.V. Moye and Fonda Akers Moye. Mark truly loved his family reunions where he would play croquet, play cards, golf and cut-up with those he dearly loved. He was a proud, fun-loving man who couldn’t wait to go fishing with his good friends, Cleland, Eddie and many others. There were many, many good times shared on the rivers, lakes and ponds with his friends and family and a lot of fish fell prey too. Mark was an avid fan of the New England Patriots. He loved to eat and watch football games with his good friend, Larry Eskins, cheering them on in competition with other team’s fans. He enjoyed being with people and celebrating life. Mark was a 1977 graduate of Princeton High School. He also studied and had an impressive knowledge of horticulture. He worked the last 18 years at Princeton Wal-Mart and took pride in being a Customer Service Specialist. In the past, Mark held jobs with Burger Chef, Norfolk-Southern Railroad, Cutlip’s Lawn and Garden, Bluefield Daily Telegraph, Robo Car Wash and performed many side jobs in landscaping. Mark loved his family, co-workers and his customers, making their day much brighter. Most importantly, Mark loved the Lord. He read his Bible regularly, loved to watch inspirational movies and listen to gospel music – mostly “old time bluegrass.” We will all have a void in our lives by his passing and he will be sorely missed and remembered with reverence. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his older brother, Brent Moye. Survivors include his loving son, Heith M. Moye; his younger brother, Verlin Moye and wife Linda; nephews, Brett, Seth and Drew; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Larry Dyer officiating. Interment will follow at the Reid Cemetery in Spanishburg. Serving as pallbearers will be Heith Moye, Tom James, Cleland Ramsey, Brett Moye, Seth Moye, John Wheby, Drew Moye and Larry Eskins.
