MATOAKA – Kimberly Dawn Dickson, 56, of Matoaka, died Sunday, October 10, 2021. Born December 29, 1964 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Dickson and Bernice Billings. Kimberly was a 1983 graduate of Matoaka High School. She received her Associate Degree from Bluefield Technical College and was a medical assistant. She was a former employee of Five Star Food in Lake Shawnee and The Havens in Princeton. She enjoyed crafts, reading, bingo, gardening and flowers. Survivors include sons, Douglas Laxton and wife Krysta of Charleston and Johnathon Laxton and wife Amanda of Parkersburg; granddaughters, Kadence, Olivia and Vivienne Laxton; sisters, Barbara, Nancy, Selma, Debbie and Janet; and brothers, Larry, Ron, Billy, Jerry and Teddy. Kimberly’s request was to be cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2021 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Kelly Lyle officiating.
