Gary Farmer

SPANISHBURG – Gary Farmer, 70 of Spanishburg died Thursday, July 21, 2020. Born December 16, 1949 at Alexandria, VA he was the son of the late Paul Preston Farmer and Ruby May Nixon Farmer. Gary attended the Old State Road Baptist Church in Beeson. He retired from Mercer County Courthouse and enjoyed camping and fishing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Linda Shrewsbury Farmer; son, Billy Joe Farmer; brothers, Kenneth Farmer and Richard Farmer and sister, Liz Asbury. Survivors include sons, Johnny Farmer and wife Loretta of Princeton and David Farmer of Princeton; grandchildren, Paige Farmer, Megan Farmer and David Farmer, Jr.; great granddaughter, Haley J. Navy; siblings, Curtis, Nick, Michael and Sue and special friends, Debbie and Ken Hedrick. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home with Pastor Grant Prince officiating. Interment will follow at Reid Cemetery in Spanishburg.
