PRINCETON – Frances Bell Perkins, 98, of Princeton, was escorted to Heaven by Christmas Angels on December 30, 2017 after living out her final days in the comfort of her home surrounded by family members and loved ones. Born May 21, 1919 in Wyoming County, WV, she was the daughter of the late George W. Craft and Bertha Rose Craft. Strong minded and a union supporter, she was known in her early years for always being on the go and putting the pedal to the metal as she traveled West Virginia and Virginia coal country roads on her way to various Pentecostal Holiness churches, organizational or political meetings and family gatherings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Perkins; brothers, Clyde and Robert Craft; sister, Mae Vance; daughter, Betty Perkins; partner, Francis Orange; and great-grandson, Edgar Roberto Mclean. Survivors include son, Ken Perkins (Patti); daughter, June Mclean (Tom); grandson, Greg Mclean (Cecilia); granddaughters, Mary Frances Kerr (Scott), Kendria Perkins and Karmellia Perkins; great-grandchildren, Scott Kerr Jr., Katelyn Kerr, Chase Mclean, Cecil Mclean, Graham Mclean and Heather Mclean; step-grandchildren, Kim Hamlet, Gary Gentle; special longtime faithful companion, Dale Griffin; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2017 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Reverend Vicki King officiating. Interment will follow at Palm Memorial Gardens in Matheny. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 6, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
