PRINCETON –Dona Mae Jones, aka “Doo-Doo” age 91 departed her residence in Princeton for over sixty years to move to her heavenly home on March 6, 2021. Known for her spunk and quick wit she was loved by her family and friends. She was born on September 11, 1929 to Cora Lee Thomas Jones and Arthur Rufus Jones in the mountains of Willowton, West Virginia. She was the last living sibling of her family, preceded in death by brothers, Rab, Monk, Toots, Jack and Josh Jones and sister, Fannie Comer. She was a 1948 graduate of Oakvale High School and was employed by Blanks Wallpaper and Paint for over thirty years. Left to cherish her memory are her nieces and husbands, Patti and Dennis Jenkins and Karen and Danny Buckner who cared for her for over seventeen years. Their children and grandchildren, Denny, Dusty (Trista), Jonathan, Katie (David), Raygin, Aiden, Sophia, Charlotte and Dax were the apple of her eye. She was also loved by many other nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Stonerise Nursing Home as well as Princeton Community Hospital for her recent care. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2021 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Dyer and Rev. Blake Bivens officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, March 12 from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour.
