Chris Anderson

PRINCETON – Christopher James (Chris) Anderson, 49, of Princeton, died Friday, February 28, 2020 at his home. Born November 14, 1970 in Bluefield, he was the son of Myron and Patty Anderson of Princeton. Chris was a graduate of Princeton High School and a graduate of Bluefield College with a BA degree in Biology. He was a former employee of Bluefield Sanitary Board and MARC Office Supply in Princeton. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Princeton. Chris enjoyed taking care of plants, cooking and reading National Geographic. Until an injury limited the use of his hand, Chis enjoyed tinkering with and repairing things. He enjoyed being with and helping people. Chris was preceded in death by his wife, Leslie Craft Anderson in 2018; his paternal grandparents, Enver and Helen Anderson; and his maternal grandparents, Jim and Peggy Baker. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Robert Anderson; uncles, Larry Anderson and wife Pam and Gary Anderson and wife Cara; great uncle, Thomas Staton; and several cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2020 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Larry White officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bluefield Union Mission or the Salvation Army. The family will receive friends Friday, March 6, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
