Ruby Wayman

PRINCETON – The Lord gently called Ruby Pauline Meadows Wayman to join Him in Heaven while she was sleeping the morning of Tuesday, August 7, 2012 surrounded by loved ones. Born December 23, 1920 in Matoaka, she was the loving daughter of the late Allen A. Meadows and Evelyn Shrewsbury Meadows. She was a soft-spoken, devout Christian who lived her life serving the Lord, studying the Bible and walking the path of an angel here on earth. She was a wonderful role model in every way who always put others before herself. A great void is already felt in all our hearts with her passing. The only thing that can ease the pain is knowing she no longer suffers and is safely in the welcoming arms of the Lord and those she loved who passed before her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Crotty and Bert Wayman; one brother, Avery Meadows; and first husband, Harlan Ralph Morgan. Survivors include her loving daughter, Linda Joan Farley; granddaughter, Kimberly Jean Farley; great-granddaughter, Amanda Pauline Thompson, with whom she made her home and was lovingly cared for by them. Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Virgil Allen Farley and his wife Carol, Ralph Farley and his wife Robinn, Mark Farley and his wife Teri, Donna Farley Harmon and her husband Ronald; great grandchildren, Ryan Farley, Tyler Farley, Andrew Harmon, Aaron Harmon, Brandon Booth, Scott Farley, David Farley and Cassandra Gilbert and children, Alexis, Amya and Xavier; nephews, Mike Crotty and his wife Margaret, Henry Crotty and his wife Suzanne and children Peyton and Preston, and special friend, Bill Jennings, fiancé of Kimberly Jean Farley; and caregiver, Corrina Perkins who helped care for her in her last days. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. James Ford officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton. Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Farley, Ronnie Harmon, David Farley, Aaron Harmon, Andrew Harmon and Mark Farley. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 9, 2012 from noon until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
