Patsy Spraker Dalton

PRINCETON – Patsy Spraker Dalton, 89, of Princeton, formerly of Salem, Virginia, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Born June 16, 1933 in Fort Chiswell, VA, she was the daughter of the late Cecil McAllister Dean and Alva Hazel Creger Dean. Mrs. Dalton was retired from General Electric Drive Systems in Salem, Virginia. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Salem, Virginia, First Baptist Church North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and First Baptist Church in Princeton. Patsy was the matriarch of her family, who had a fun-loving, competitive spirit. She was a true blessing to all of her combined family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter T. Spraker; three brothers, David Dean, Mason Dean and Ralph Dean; and one step-daughter, Sarah Belcher. Survivors include her husband, Hugh Franklin Dalton, Sr. of Princeton; three daughters, Gayle Spraker Gallagher and her husband Dan of Centerville, VA, Debbie Spraker Padgett and her husband Loyd Richard, Jr. of Bolivia, NC and Sandy Shelton and her husband Mike of Vinton, VA; five step-children, Sharon Spangler, Sam Dalton, Roberta Dalton, Hugh Dalton and Andy Dalton; one sister, Carol Faye Morrison of Fair Oaks, CA; one brother, Randolph Dean of Cornelius, NC; seven grandchildren, Kathleen Moxley, Peter Gallagher, Shannon Mistron, Carly Weber, Loyd Padgett, III, Kirk Dent and Hannah Shelton; nine great grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2022 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Jason Spade and Pastor Andrew Maynor officiating. Burial will be at North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens in Little River, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 1116 Mercer Street, Princeton, WV 24740. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
