Mildred Eller

PRINCETON – Mildred “Midge” Alice Clark Eller, 95, of Mt Olive, was carried on angel wings to her Eternal home on Mother’s Day, May 11, 2025, at Princeton Health Care Center surrounded by family and friends. She was born March 8, 1930, in Piedmont, WV, to the late George and Fulvia Payne Clark. Mildred was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a homemaker and worked for the Mercer County Board of Education. She was an amazing cook, and her family looked forward to weekly Sunday brunch at her home after church. Mildred enjoyed camping at Claytor Lake, playing cards and bingo, listening to Christian music, and watching her grandchildren’s many activities. She was a member of the New Cornerstone Independent Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband of 74 years, Homer Eller; siblings, Des Clark, Ervin Clark, Hampton Clark, George B. Clark, Robert Clark, Clinton Clark, Rita Pennington, Kathleen Benfield, Pauline Phillips, Nancy Belcher, Mary Lee, Phyllis Clisso, and Zetta Wimmer; and son-in-law, David Walker. Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Marquita Walker, Juanita Swatts (Mike) and Bonita Hubbard (Lee); grandchildren, Kimberly Johnson (Kenneth), David Walker, Jr., Shanna Autrey (Chuck), Tonya “Missy” Gerber (Vince), Shane Swatts (Leah), Jason Taylor (Jennifer); 14 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren, sister, Lou Repass; and special friends Janie and Jim Wiblin. The family would like to express their gratitude to Princeton Health Care Center and Hospice for their compassion and loving care. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, May 19, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Ronald Booher, officiating. Graveside services will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Grandsons and family will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
