Donald Weese

HIAWATHA – Donald Lee Weese, 71, of Hiawatha went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 18, 2012 at his home. Born October 4, 1940 in Bluefield he was the son of the late Paul Richard Weese and Florence Gross Weese. He was a retired coal miner, member of UMWA District 29 and member of Hiawatha Gospel Mission Church. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He loved to fish, hunt and help others. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Darlyne Weese of Hiawatha; one daughter, Melissa Holdren Weese and Todd of Yorktown, VA; seven sons, Richard Weese of Lashmeet, Phillip Weese of Princeton, Charlie Weese and Brenda of Princeton, Billy Weese and Karen of Hiawatha, Joseph Weese and Wanda of Montcalm, David Weese and Karen of Ohio and Charles Weese and Rebecca of Princeton; four nephews, Lindsly Bowling of Huntington, Jonathan Bowling and Dawn of Hiawatha, Kevin Bowling of Bluefield and Keith Bowling of Bluefield; six brothers and five sisters, Lucy and Alda Laxton of Weyanoke, Paul and Jean Chapman of Hiawatha, Benny and Debbie Weese of Hiawatha, Bernard and Rachael Weese of Hiawatha, Timmy and Susan Weese of Lake Bottom, Ray Weese of Hiawatha, June and Richard Nickolson of Lashmeet, Zana Gail Osborne of Giatto Road, Becky and Donald Mitchem of Kegley, Susie and Tommy Asbury of Old Lashmeet Road and Rex and Michelle Weese of Hiawatha; 21 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2012 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Kelly Lyle and the Rev. Charlie Farmer officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Serving as pallbearers will be grandchildren Stuart Holdren, Dalton Weese, Hank Weese, Chestin Weese, Austin Blake and Paul David. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
