DECEMBER 2008
Our Annual Service of Remembrance was held on Saturday, December 6 at First Assembly of God Church in Princeton.  Families served during the past year were invited to this special service.  An Angel of Remembrance was presented to each family.  Musical selections were provided by the Princeton Middle School Vocal Ensemble and Rev. Brad Puckett delivered a message of encouragement.

OCTOBER 2008
It was nice seeing everyone again at the Senior Expo on October 2 at the Brushfork Armory.  We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

JULY 2008
On July 7th The Havens in Princeton hosted a seminar on the many benefits of preplanning.  We appreciate the kind hospitality of the staff and residents of The Havens.

JUNE 2008
We were honored to be invited to present a seminar on preplanning by the Mercer County Commission on Aging at the Senior Center in Princeton on June 23.  We enjoyed visiting with everyone.

MAY 2008
On May 28 we participated in the Senior Celebration at Mercer Mall.  It was nice to meet everyone who visited our booth.  We look forward to being there again next year!

APRIL 2008
It was good to see everyone again this year at the Better Living Show at the Brushfork Armory on April 25-26.  Our booth featured information on personalization, preplanning and grief support. 

DECEMBER 2007
Our Annual Service of Remembrance was held on December 8 at First Baptist Church in Princeton. Families served during the past year were invited to this special service. An Angel of Remembrance was presented to each family. Musical selections were provided by Variations, the audition choir from Bluefield College, and Pastor David Dockery delivered a message of encouragement.

NOVEMBER 2007
The Princeton Independent Funeral Home Association was the sponsor for the historical Hoppers 50th Anniversary Gospel Music Concert at Princeton Church of God on November 16. This concert featured a rare appearance of the Original Hopper Brothers and Connie. More than 700 people were in attendance.

OCTOBER 2007
We were pleased to visit with hundreds of people during the Women’s Expo at the Brushfork Armory. The theme of our exhibit was Options in Funeral Personalization and Preplanning.

SEPTEMBER 2007
Area pastors were our guests on September 5 during the Minister’s Appreciation Breakfast at the Mercer Co. Technical Education Seminar Center. Following a breakfast buffet, the funeral home expressed our appreciation to the pastors for the support they provide to families who have experienced a death. Ventriloquist, Dale and Friends, from Stoneville, NC, provided some light-hearted entertainment for the guests.

JULY 2007
There is a trend nationally for large, corporate out-of-state funeral service conglomerates and/or consolidators to purchase funeral homes and cemeteries. Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home is pleased to announce the formation of the Princeton Independent Funeral Homes Association along with Memorial Funeral Directory and Seaver Funeral Service. Membership in this association confirms our commitment to remaining an independently operated, family-owned funeral home.

JUNE 2007
The "Excited Senior People" group at Immanuel Baptist Church in Princeton included us in their monthly luncheon meeting on June 10. Our Speaker's Bureau is available to church, civic and community organizations for presentations on a variety of subjects related to the funeral service profession.

MAY 2007
The Mercer County Commission on Aging invited funeral homes and cemeteries to their meeting to share information about funeral service options. It was our pleasure to visit those in attendance.

APRIL 2007
We appreciate the many people who visited with us during the Better Living Show at the Brushfork Armory on April 27-28. Our display offered a wide range of information about funerals including personalization, preplanning and grief recovery.

We were privileged to be guests at the January meeting of the "Don't Mention Age" group at Johnston Chapel Baptist Church in Princeton. The topic of our presentation was "Personalization Through Preplanning." Our staff is available to speak for church, community and civic organizations on a variety of funeral related topics.

DECEMBER 2006
It was nice seeing everyone at our Annual Service of Remembrance on December 2nd. Special thanks to Rev. Larry Dyer and the Fairview Christian Community Church for hosting the service and to the Princeton Senior High School Madrigal Singers for providing the inspirational music.

JULY 2006
We now have the capability to publish Video Memorial Tributes to our website, for families wishing to share videos of their loved one with friends and family via the internet. We can store the videos on our server for up to 30 days so that friends and family who may have been unable to attend the service have the opportunity to view the tribute online.

MAY 2006
Stan Wikle has been recognized as a Certified Preplanning Consultant by the National Funeral Directors Association upon recent completion of the organization's program in Charleston, South Carolina. The NFDA Certified Preplanning Consultant (CPC) Program is the only national program conferring certification in the specialized field of preplanning.

APRIL 2006

MARCH 2006
Thanks to everyone at the St. Lukes Chapter of Senior Friends who attended our Advance Funeral Planning Seminar at the Bluefield Auditorium. We enjoyed meeting everyone in this wonderful organization.

FEBRUARY 2006
We recently upgraded the audio/video capabilities of our chapel. Our chapel now features a video projection system for the viewing of Video Memorial Tributes on DVD or VHS, as well as the ability to link with a computer for Microsoft Power Point presentations. We can also now provide families a digital audio recording of a funeral service on CD or in MP3 format.

JANUARY 2006
Thanks to everyone who attended our Advance Funeral Planning Seminar at the Princeton Towers. Our staff is always available for making presentations to civic, church or fraternal organizations and welcome group or personal tours of our facility.

Friends unable to attend a visitation or service at the funeral home may now conveniently send online condolences to the family through our website. We will present all messages to the family following the service.

MAY 2005
We now offer Video Memorial Tributes on DVD. Comprised of a collection of family photographs, these cinema-quality videos may be shared with friends and family during a visitation or funeral service on one of our flat-screen plasma TV's. Additional copies are made available for those wanting an eternal keepsake of their loved one.

APRIL 2005
We are happy to announce that Stan Wikle has joined our staff as a licensed Pre-arrangement Counselor to assist families with Advance Funeral Planning. Stan completed the Assurant Preneed Excellence Training Program in Asheville, North Carolina. For many years, he has promoted gospel music in our area as Stan Wikle Gospel Music Promotions.

We have added several new books, brochures and videos to our Grief Resource Library. Our library is available to the entire community and contains information on a wide array of grief-related topics.

JANUARY 2005
We recently acquired the “Criddle Property” adjacent to the funeral home. This will allow us to further expand our parking lot to accommodate in excess of 100 cars.
