MATOAKA – Billy Joe Farmer, Jr., 48, of Matoaka, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at his home. Born August 21, 1962 at
Mr. Farmer was a lifelong resident of Matoaka and will be dearly missed in the hearts of many. He was of the
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Farmer; and one brother, Richard Farmer.
In addition to his mother, left to cherish his memory include his companion of 17 years, Delores Compton Farmer of Matoaka; one brother, Barney Farmer of Matoaka; one sister, Irma Thompson of Princeton; four step-children, T.J. Thompson and companion Tonya Short of Lashmeet, Robbie Thompson of Matoaka and Jennifer Rutledge and Jennifer Wright both of Montcalm; five step-grandchildren, Dylon, Haley and Airona Thompson, Elizabeth Hudgins and Jonathan Wright; one very special granddaughter, Cierra Thompson; and numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in
Serving as pallbearers include Mathew Riggs, William Bennett, Joe Bennett, Fred Farmer, T.J. Thompson, Kevin Mcleese, Randy Crane and Eric Ernest.
