Name:
Ann Webb
Date of Death:
May 30, 2012
Location of Service:
Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home - Princeton

ATHENS – After a four year battle with breast cancer, Ann Webb, 57, went to be with the Lord, with her sons, family and friends by her side, on Wednesday night, May 30, 2012. Born September 24 1954 at Welch, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Webb and Ola Gibson Webb.

Ann was an avid sports fan and loved watching her boys play sports more than anything. She spent most of her time taking her boys back and forth to practices and games and never minded cheering loudly for them and their teammates. Even in declining health, she would volunteer to work the concession stand for the PikeView Soccer Team with fundraisers and support their teams anyway she could. She was absolutely devoted to her sons. She was a 1974 graduate of Northfork High School. She had worked at Concord University Daycare. When her health permitted, she attended the Lerona United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son's father, Stanley Francisco; three sisters, Faye Kessinger, Nina Dearinger and Wanda Edwards; and three brothers, Ray Webb, William Darrel Webb and James Douglas Webb.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Webb and John Webb both of Athens; three sisters, Fonda McPeak of Bluefield and Jean Lightcap and Marlene Webb both of Ohio; two brothers, Damon Webb and Vernon Webb, Jr. both of North Carolina; and one grandson, Cayden Isaac Webb.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Casper Dalton and Pastor Vernon Webb, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Webb, John Webb, Ben Nester, Dr. Paul Gilley, Damon Webb and Joey Esteridge.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ann Webb Family Fund, c/o City National Bank, 191 Greasy Ridge Rd., Princeton, WV 24740.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 2, 2012 from noon until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton. To view a video tribute to Ms. Webb, or send the family online condolences, please visit www.bailey-kirk.com.

#4 rema henderson aguire-king 2012-06-04 06:50 I was a friend of Anns during jr. high and high school. I haven't seen her in years, I am so sorry about her passing. I didn't know she had children but she always wanted to have kids. I spent many hours with Ann, her sister Marlene and their mother, I was always welcome there. I have missed my dear friend for many years I now will miss her for the rest of my days. I am truelly sorry that I never meet her children and that she never meet mine. I still live in the same area we grew up in, I wish we had never lost contact. I don't know her boys but I know they were dearly loved and always will be. God bless each and every one of you. Ann my dear friend I know you are smiling with the angels. Rembering ypu always, your friend Rema. Quote

She will be missed by all unitl the day we see them again may God be with all of you. Until the day that we see our dear loved ones again that Grandma Ola had enough love for all her children. That has been passed done to us from them and it is not the quanity of time we had with them but the quality of time they gave us. That last forever… luv u guys Quote
