Angela Lynne McKinney, 35, of Matoaka was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 19, 2012. Born October 24, 1976 in Princeton, she was the daughter of Denver and Linda McKinney of Matoaka.
Angie loved her children and her family dearly. She had a true heart of gold and a smile that would light the world.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Howard and Helen Skeens and Lucy McKinney.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Denver and Linda McKinney and her four children, Steven McKinney and fiancé Tasha Boswell of Princeton, Dustin McKinney, Haylee McKinney and Sierra Cook all of Matoaka; one granddaughter, Kirra McKinney; one brother, Ronnie McKinney and wife Sandra of Lashmeet and their children, Kayla Powell McKinney of Tulsa, OK, Holly McKinney and Ronnie McKinney, Jr. of Lashmeet; a special aunt who loved Angie very much, Judy McKinney of Hickory, NC and lifelong friends Sally Lewis of Green Valley and Amy Stillwell of Matoaka.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Marvin McKinney and Rev. Kelly Lyle officiating. Interment will follow at Mitchell McKinney Cemetery in Basin. Pallbearers will be Glen Vestal, Jr., Jake McKinney, Earl Shrader, Jr., Tony Walker, Shannon Hurst and Bradley Bradshaw.
