LASHMEET – Ronald Dwight Midkiff, 60, of Lashmeet, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 at his home. Born September 16, 1951 at Princeton, he was the son of Rainelle Shrewsbury Midkiff of Lashmeet and the late Earl Midkiff.
Ronald attended Lashmeet Church of God. He was a former sawmill worker and restored old trucks and jeeps. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and flea markets. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Harless Midkiff and his wife Patsy and Johnny Midkiff and his wife Kay all of Lashmeet; four sisters, Deborah Snider and her husband Donald of Princeton, Connie Phillips and her husband Tom of Saulsville, Sheila Perdue and her companion Ron of Princeton and Charmaine Stables and her husband Jimmy of Lashmeet; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Gary Raulerson officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends will serve as pallbearers.
