BLUEFIELD- Acie Roland Gearheart, Jr., 22, of Bluefield died Saturday, August 13, 2011 near Falls Mills from injuries received in an automobile accident.  Born July 28, 1989 at Laurel, Maryland, he was the son of Acie Roland Gearheart, Sr. of Bluefield and Dorothy Crosby Petrillo of Maryland.

He was of the Protestant faith. He worked in the construction industry as a roofer most of his life.  He wrote poetry and enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Tracy Bromfield.

In addition to his parents he is survived by three sisters, two brothers and his grandmother, Lorraine Gearheart of Bluefield.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Friendly Chapel of the Bluefield Union Mission, 2203 Bluefield Avenue, Bluefield, West Virginia, with Craig Hammond officiating.  Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour at the Bluefield Union Mission.
