About
DEDICATED TO CARING…COMMITTED TO SERVICE
For more than 70 years the caring staff of Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home has endeavored to provide the families we are privileged to serve with compassion and understanding. It is our sincere hope that we are able to provide comfort in a most difficult time. We believe personal service and attention to the needs of the family are our most important responsibilities – before, during and following the funeral service. We will continue to provide families the attentive and caring service they expect and deserve.
OUR FACILITY
Conveniently located on Honaker Avenue in the heart of Princeton for over 50 years, our funeral home provides a warm home-like atmosphere for friends and families to gather and remember their loved ones. Situated on over 2 acres, our 12,000 square foot, two-story facility features a handicapped accessible entrance and restrooms that meet all ADA guidelines. The recent expansion of our parking area now allows us to accommodate in excess of 100 cars.
We offer spacious areas for visitation and viewings, as well as a modern, 200 seat funeral chapel for services that includes both an organ and a piano for musical selections. Our chapel also features an integrated sound system with capabilities for playing soundtracks and making audio recordings. Also available are flat-screen plasma TV's for viewing video tributes of a loved one.
A lounge area gives families a place for comfort and relaxation. Our Grief Resource Library consists of a large selection of books, brochures and videos on a wide array of grief and related topics and is available for anyone in our community wishing additional information on grieving.
Finally, our arrangement area is a contemporary gallery of the highest quality caskets, urns, burial vaults and other funeral service-related products designed to meet the needs of the entire community. Here you will be presented with all options of personalization available to make the service for your loved one special and memorable.
OUR ASSOCIATIONS
We are proud members of both the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) and the West Virginia Funeral Directors Association (WVFDA). In 1993 we were honored to be invited to join Selected Independent Funeral Homes (formerly National Selected Morticians-NSM), a world-wide organization of independent, family-owned funeral homes.
OUR FAMILY
For more than 70 years, Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home has been honored to serve the families of Princeton, Mercer County and the surrounding communities. Since the death of Rowland Bailey in 1992, the firm has been operated by his daughter, Shirley Bailey Kirk and her husband Garfield, and their son, David Kirk and his wife Kathy. As an independent, family-owned funeral home, Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home will continue to strive to adhere to the highest standards of funeral service and be here tomorrow to meet the obligations we make today.
